Landscape Design/Build Services in Marin, Sonoma & Napa Counties
From concept to completion, one dedicated crew handles your entire project. Serving residential and commercial properties across the North Bay since 1999.
Most landscape projects fail not because of bad materials or poor installation, but because the design and the build never talked to each other. At Builtwell Landscape Construction, we handle both under one roof. One point of contact, one crew, one standard of quality from the first sketch to the final walkthrough.
Our design/build process starts with a conversation. We visit your property, listen to what you want, assess the space and put together a plan that works with your land, your budget and your vision. From there we handle all grading, hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting coordination and finishing details in house. No subcontractors passing the baton, no miscommunication between a designer who has moved on and a crew that just showed up.
We work on full backyard transformations, front yard redesigns, commercial outdoor spaces and everything in between. Whether you are starting with a blank slate or reimagining an existing landscape, Builtwell brings the expertise and the horsepower to see it through.
We serve residential and commercial design/build clients throughout Marin County including Sausalito, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere, Ross, Kentfield, Larkspur, San Rafael and Corte Madera, as well as Sonoma County clients in Santa Rosa, Petaluma and Rohnert Park, and Napa County clients in Napa and St. Helena.
FAQs
What does the design/build process look like from start to finish?
1
It starts with an on-site consultation where we walk your property and talk through your goals. From there we develop a plan, present it for your approval and once we are aligned we move into construction. You have one point of contact throughout the entire process and we keep you updated at every stage.
How long does a design/build project take?
2
Timeline depends heavily on the size and complexity of the project. Smaller redesigns can be completed in a week or two while larger full property transformations may take several weeks. We provide a detailed project schedule before any work begins so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you handle permits for design/build projects?
3
Yes. Design/build projects often require permits for grading, hardscape or structural elements. We are familiar with permit requirements across Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties and handle the process so you do not have to chase it down yourself.
Can you work with an existing landscape design from an architect or designer?
4
Wood fences benefit from periodic sealing or staining to protect against moisture and UV damage, especially in coastal Marin climates. Composite and vinyl require very little maintenance beyond occasional cleaning. We go over care and maintenance recommendations with every client after installation.
Do you offer free estimates?
5
Yes. We offer free on-site consultations and estimates for design/build projects throughout Marin, Sonoma and Napa Counties. Reach out through our contact form or give us a call to get started.
